The second day of outcry over a grand jury’s decision not to indict two police officers in the shooting death of Tamir Rice saw more than 100 demonstrators close the streets of downtown Cleveland.
“It could have been my child,” one protester who only described herself as a lifelong Cleveland resident said.
After the Jury decided not to indict officers in Tamir Rice case, people came to seek justice for his family and all black people. Tamir Rice was just a little kid, who played with a toy gun, which, by the way, you can find at any store. However, racist killer cops came for his life and took it , but their actions were considered justified. How can this be justified when white kids just don’t get shot for playing with the same toy guns?
Racism and prejudice are unacceptable for the police officers, because innocent people can be killed. Our society is not cured from racism yet, so officials have to be more picky while hiring police officers.
Rise up for Tamir Rice until we make the justice happen!
